Try this unique method of teaching Bible skills while motivating students to
faithful attendance. Bible Boot Camp 1: Basic Training was revised for use in VBS and Bible
Camp. New Testament lessons were selected, and the material was expanded
to preschool through eighth grade. These books have been out of print, but are
now available again. However, they may not be returned. You may look at the
sample below and/or buy one lesson book to preview if you are considering using
this for your VBS or Bible Camp. Topics are:

3. Mail Call (Epistles of Paul)
Preschool: Prayer
4. Time to Write Home (Other Epistles)
Preschool: Apostles
5. Letters From Heaven
Preschool: Preschoolers study the same topic as the older students for
Lessons 1, 2 and 5.
DUTY ROSTER
As with the thirteen week curriculum, the duty roster provides an opportunity
for students to serve in various roles during class time. Four different tasks
are assigned for each of the five lessons, giving up to twenty children in each
classroom an opportunity to serve. (1) Supply Sergeant - Distributes
BTMs, Bibles, etc. (2) Roll Sergeant - Calls Roll (3) C. A. S. - Song Leader
(boy) (4) Chaplain - Leads Prayer (boy)
Preschoolers may take turns helping, just like the older students, although
their jobs will be different. Even very small children can get out crayons, pass
out Basic Training Manuals, distribute activity papers, etc. They will be eager
to be teacher’s helper and wear a duty sticker!
BASIC TRAINING MANUAL
The BTM uses the same songs and cadences as were found in the original BTM, but
is revised for five days only. Preschoolers have a picture version of the BTM to
help them remember what they have been learning in class.
CLASSROOM DECORATIONS
Suggestions are offered for all ages. Graphics for posters appear in each book.
Older students will especially appreciate an army flavor (God’s Army, of
course!). The Army recruiter station nearest you will be happy to provide
posters, cups, etc.
REPRODUCIBLE
One advantage of using BBC for VBS or Bible Camp is that it is reproducible. If
a few extra students appear at the last minute, send a helper to copy
additional activities. The teachers’ guide appears in each lesson book with the
student material. It is reproducible, but we highly recommend one manual per
lead teacher.
